. . . Have you ever felt like you want to be more peaceful more regularly ?
And do you also feel like it would be nice to be so, but it would just take too MUCH time & effort for you to be peaceful day-to-day . . . ?
~ Here’s Our recipe of 5 simple ways to instantly make your day more peaceful . . .
~ After you read through these, please pause a moment take our quick online survey and give us your much appreciated feed-back . . .
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
1. Seek the wisdom of others
2. Just say no to your awful attitude
3. Lighten up & do something that makes your heart laugh
4. Stop and sing a song that puts you back in good spirits
5. Slow Down and listen to your heart
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
1.
Seek out the wisdom of others
Find, make a list of, and regularly engage your awareness in a few astute quotes, articles or books which can quickly refocus your attention on thoughts such as “how to just let things happen”, “reclaiming your peace of mind”, or “how to turn off your relentless judging of yourself and others”.
As I’m sure you know ~ I’m suggesting here is for you to put into action, the well known notions that “practice makes perfect” and “cultivating a thing increases that thing” . . .
2.
Just say “no” to your awful attitude
Here’s a really simple and quick way to unseat an awful day, [usually caused by an equally awful attitude]:
~Instead of trying to prove yourself as right in a prolonged disagreement . . . simply shift from the emotional and verbal embattlement to actually say “thank you, I see . . .[my own error; your point of view; what you meant, etc.] thanks.”
~And, when someone else tries to make peace with, or [actually dares to] admit their own error to you ~ stop to actually listen, acknowledge and verbally accept a genuinely offered apology ~ rather than gloating or acting superior about it ~ as so many today are prone to do. Both responses require a bit of self-reflection, honesty, strength of character, courage and even a little humility, but they also promptly return you to your previously lost sense of inner-peace.
~Now for those who honestly suffer from constantly apologizing for simply living your life, where it would be the case that saying “I’m sorry” would only reinforce already disproportionate feelings of inadequacy and separateness.
~For you we suggest use of the response, “excuse me” instead. This way, you’re being accountable for your actions while not putting yourself down by doing so. This is a more appropriate response which will actually allow you to feel better about yourself as a result of doing so.
So, if you really want to quickly return to a sense of peacefulness in a prolonged disagreement; the next time you hear a genuinely offered apology, simply pause to gracefully accept it. And when you come to realize that you’ve blundered or erred yourself, do “courage up” to quickly say so.
And when next, you feel unfairly criticized, take a deep breath before you “act out” and ask yourself if this might be a good time to stay seated or to ground yourself in quite inner-peace-keeping by sincerely offering an heart-felt “thank you.” ?
3.
Lighten up & do something that makes your heart laugh
Simple.
To stop what you’re thinking and feeling by simply indulging yourself in a moment of having a real sense of humor & authentic delight – like when you were still an unfettered and naturally carefree child . . . engage in something that delights your sense of innocence . . . something that genuinely makes you laugh at the very the core of your being . . .
4.
Stop and sing a song that puts you back in your own good spirits
One of the simplest ways you can quickly reseat yourself in a peaceful, good spirited state again is to either play [or sing if it works for you] one or more spirit-pleasing songs.
It allows you to shift your feelings easily because doing so instantly transports you from the depths of having angry, frustrated or stressful feelings ~ to heights of having calm, happy or delighted feelings [depending on the song(s) and on how much you delight in hearing or singing the song(s)]. It’s a naturally effective, yet simple “creative visualization”.
I know you’ve heard of; “fake it until you make it” . . . well conversely, this is a case for you to proactively, “sing it until you uplift it” . . .
5.
Slow down & simply listen to your heart
As you strive to live a more peaceful and "heartfelt” life ~ regularly pause to reconnect with the very pulse of your Being. When you can acknowledge [and put into action] that life doesn't have to be so non-stop, immediate or shallow to be meaningful for you, then you can begin to live a more peaceful life . . .
Simply said, peacefulness is had by merely taking the time and making an effort to become more aware of something as subtle, yet essential, as your often ignored life-regulating heart pulse.
Here’s a rather easy way to gain a deeper sense of your own place of inner-peace. Here’s a way you can promptly bring about wholly potent benefits; including an increased awareness of your own natural inner-strength, resilience and ability to reconnect with and enjoy the benefit of seating in your own authentic state of inner-peace.
And it’s a really simple thing to do . . .
Just mindfully pause, right now. That’s right, simply pause from reading this for a moment, to focus on and be mindfully aware of the often ignored, vital reverberation of your own, very precious, and very under-acknowledged, heart beat . . . can you feel it ? . . . Listen, can you hear it?
. . . And as you are pausing now to do so . . . don’t you . . . at the very least, start to feel a subtle shift in your awareness? . . . A slight but deeper sense . . . of your own Inner-Being . . .Being?
